ArtLoan Financial Services Selects Decision Design to Build Loan Collateral System

Bannockburn, IL - 3/19/2008 - Decision Design Corporation, a leading custom software development firm, today announced that it has been awarded the contract to build a custom loan collateral system for ArtLoan Financial Services, a startup financial company that specializes in personal property loan collateralization.

The new web-based product will allow ArtLoan customers to use their high value personal property as collateral in acquiring loans from ArtLoan. The new system brings innovative technologies to the traditional loan collateralization market by enabling people to obtain loans based on their jewelry, art, silverware, or other high value objects, using a web based system. The system will request owner information, appraisals for property, and other information to execute the loan process. The loan process will not require creditworthiness since it is the object's value as collateral that assures the loan will be repaid.

ArtLoan is the first and only private lender to offer asset-based financing to the antiques and fine arts community largely over the Web. With ArtLoan, dealers, collectors, and investors can look to their art-related assets to borrow against their equity, just as they would borrow against the equity in their real estate. Decision Design will automate use the new ArtLoan business model using .NET technologies to provide a simple and powerful user experience to obtain their loans.

Beginning this winter, ArtLoan will offer Equity ArtLoans and ArtLoan Creditlines to clients who want to collateralize with their personal property. By securing a loan with their valuable personal property, customers will enjoy the convenience of borrowing money without invasive credit restrictions. During the life of the loan, customers property will be stored in their secure, temperature-controlled, humidity-monitor warehouse.

ArtLoan is assembling a world-class group of internationally recognized property specialists. Working from offices around the world, they will offer a level of expertise in their related fields of antiques, collectibles and fine arts that is rarely found in the specialty finance industry. Each expert is carefully selected for his/her knowledge and recognition in a specific field and each must pass a rigorous set of criteria in order to be accepted as an ArtLoan specialist. Together with ArtLoan's in-house property experts, our international team of specialists assures clients the highest caliber of property evaluation, and the highest loan valuations possible.
